Concept & Inspiration
The logo for Mumbai Bites was inspired by the energy and culture of Mumbai. The word बम्बई written in Hindi connects the brand to the city’s roots, while its smooth shapes are inspired by the hand-painted signs seen across local streets. The black and yellow colors come from Mumbai’s famous Kaali Peeli taxis, showing the city’s bold yet friendly nature.
The soft curves in the design remind us of the sea waves and beach lines along Marine Drive and Juhu, adding a relaxed and coastal feel. The tall letter endings take inspiration from the pride and strength of Maharaja Chhatrapati Shivaji. By mixing the traditional Hindi script with a clean English wordmark, the logo reflects both the old and modern sides of Mumbai coming together in one identity.
